Sidney was born in Sicily, Italy but was raised in Brazil before venturing out to open highly successful restaurants in American cities like Hermosa Beach, Hollywood, and Park City. Although an avid skier, Sidney was drawn to the warmer, more laid back lifestyle that Puerto Vallarta offers and eventually made the move in 2000. In 2005, Sidney decided to move just north of Vallarta to the small town of Bucerias, which is now home of his restaurant Mezzogiorno. The success of Mezzogiorno affords Sidney the time to travel the area and unwind in Puerto Vallarta, where he enjoys visiting the local theater and strolling the newly renovated malecon.
